Celebrities need to take notice of Will Smith | Why has he had so much success on Social Media?

I’m not sure who whispered into Will Smith’s ear(I think it was Ellen) and convinced him to check out a little thing called SOCIAL MEDIA. But boy are we glad they did! Will Smith has been on the Instagram Platform for a lil more than a year now, and in that time he has managed to gain 27.1 Million Followers and has thrusted himself back into the culture thru the social platform.

With only a year on the platform compared to other profiles that have been around for multiple years, one could boldy say that Will Smith has one of the most rapidly successful accounts in recent social history.

But what makes him so successful on the platform? Is it the fact that he’s Will Smith, well yes, but theres more to it than that.

Yes he’s a famous actor and people want to see his life, for those who don’t know Will outside of movies, may not realize the real life will is an incredibly profound, intelligent, open minded, person with a whole lot more to offer than just movies.

Thru his page he has shared various tidbits, funny moments, jokes, raps, performances, motivational speeches, family moments, etc… but no matter what he is posting, he is always will, and he’s geninuenly having fun with it.

And thats his secret.

Now-a-days everyone and their mother is trying to get something out of Social Media, but how about trying to contribute to the platform without expecting or even wanting anything back. Have you ever noticed that a lot of Self Proclaimed “Influencers” profiles look like shit(fake personality, low quality content, lacking), yet one of your friends personal accounts who doesn’t “try” at social media is wildly successful? I notice it all the time. It’s because your friend who doesn’t “try” is being genuine, real, or as the kids like to say, keeping it 100.

Most people/influencers that try to use Instagram to grow a following end up failing because there goal is to be famous and they try too hard and they stop being themselves and they start being what they think it takes to be an “influencer”. It becomes a very selfish thing very quickly that hinders you from providing real value to users thus never creating a community. People see thru bullshit.

Will had the luxury of already being “on” by the time he created his page, he didn’t have those worries, he could just be himself, but others, just as famous as him, are not doing as well as he is, and some of them have been on the platform much longer than him. Why?

Like I said, Will is having fun with it, I don’t think he had any ulterior motives when signing up for Instagram, I don’t think he thought he needed to get any more famous, and I don’t think he thought he needed more money thru paid partnership(tho it can never hurt), and sure he’s made a few sponsored posts and plugged some things for people close to him and things he believes in, but for the most part its free plugs. He’s incredibly genuine, which always goes a long way.

He also creates a lot of high quality content, and I’m not talking about the will smith content I’m talking about how it is captured, edited and published by his filmer Westbrook. Some pictures, BUT MOSTLY VIDEOS.

So what am I saying here?

Well, all of this was to re-enforce the idea that Creativity is King, and Content is Prince. You can be doing all the right things on social media, SEO and marketing wise. But if you have shitty content, you have shitty content.

So the best practice in which you should learn from Will Smith when it comes to running a successful social media page is:
HAVE FUN WITH IT. BE GENUINE/REAL. DON’T WORRY ABOUT POSTING THE RIGHT CONTENT THATS GOING TO GO VIRAL, JUST POST CONTENT THAT REFLECTS YOU AND THE COMMUNITY WILL COME. I PROMISE.

In other words, don’t expect for your Instagram page to make you famous, and it just might.
In other words, when you stop trying to create the perfect piece of content, is the moment it will form.

P.S To all celebrities, you need to get on your Will Smith Game, you have the funds to pay someone to follow you around to constantly document and then edit that footage into high quality content, if you actually run your page, thats great, your a step further than celebs who don’t, but take it a step further, start including more videos instead of just pictures, take it a step further, instead of just filming those videos in selfie mode on your phone, hire someone to film you (like I literally just said)..

Traits of a Successful Page
*Have Fun with it
*Don’t worry so much, Don’t try so hard
*Be you, genuine, real, tell your truth.
*HIGH QUALITY CONTENT
*Consistency

Quick Tip: How To Approach Door 2 Door Sales as a Digital Marketer

I realized that I have not yet posted this comment to my site, so here it is, we were in a group talking about cold sales so I shared my technique as no one was talking about doing it this way, everyone was talking about walking door to door with there pad giving the same speech to business owners. I like my way better, you come to them not as a salesman, but as a customer who actually cares and wants to help. Ill expand more on this method in my new “Locally Grown” Project, but for now, read the comment below to hopefully receive some insights and value.

Hello! Is it me your looking for!? | I stay busy, if you haven’t noticed

Hello Hello! Its been a long time since I’ve published content on my own site. I have been terribly busy with some client projects as well as some other personal projects that I can’t wait to share, very soon.

I have steadily been making some changes on the https://www.wizardmmd.com site, so go over there and check the updates out! And as always if you need some magic graphics, you know where to go! We have been landing a lot of really fun projects. Designing shirts, logos, websites…. It feels good to do what you love for a living.

I’ve been working a lot on some new pillar content that I will be rolling out within the next few months, super valuable and I hope it helps people, so we’ll see how that goes, still got a few things to nail down. Trying to get better at posting everyday on my Facebook Page, so if you could go hit that with a follow, I appreciate all the support more than anyone of you will ever know!

As you all know I am a man of many hats, and I love to personally experience a variety of different niches, activities, professions, communities, hobbies, etc.. One thing I have always loved since I was a wee lil child is video games, and I figured since I play so much of them I should stream it. So boom my Twitch Channel is now live and it is one more social channel I aim to grow, though this is more of a side project just for fun, I have already met incredible people in the gaming and streaming industry and gained valuable connections and have also acquired design business from streamers looking for graphics, its a prime example on how you can hustle through all social media channels no matter what your doing. Not only can people donate to my channel, which no one has yet, but I’m still sort of making money while playing video games. So go follow my Twitch Channel and support me there as well! The people that support me on all of the like 1000 social pages I have you guys are the real G’s!!! I will also do real life streaming from there and my youtube channel!

Speaking of which, I upgraded my equipment and setup for my streaming! Check it out! 4 screens but I need more! Lol

Im trying to mess around more with photography and videography, Its been such shitty weather everyday though, I guess I just need to get an umbrella and shoot some rainy shots lol. I want to start to challenge myself to capture at least 1 incredible picture a day. I think that could be fun and keep me focused. Im thinking of a videography challenge, perhaps take a random clip every day and at the end of the month edit them all into a short video of some sort, hmmm. Perhaps.

And as always I am always working on adding more content to this site, my home base. Im still working out exactly how I want to structure things, but for now I think it works. Im working on updating ERE and uploading my portfolio to this site as I have got rid of embds.com. I will go more into depth on the updates of this site within the next Captains Log.

20181114_162645

I have been racking up quite a bit of debt on some new fancy equipment and re-investing any other money into business, so it looks like I will remain at home base for the rest of the year, other than perhaps a few quick trips to indy, Nashville, and Florida, but we’ll see what happens.

As it goes for my personal instagram account where I share my art, I was just about to upload 3 awesome pieces I was working on, but would you believe it my PS crashed and I lost them, funny thing is, is that PS recovered some of the files… just not them. 😦 So thats a bummer, but I guess its back to the drawing board, hopefully I can upload some new stuff in the next few days. Go follow me for my awesome art!

We are still working hard on Artist Connect, its a very important project, please go check it out and lend your support, and tell your artist friends about them!

Other than that, I can’t tell you anything else, I got some projects and new art that I can’t wait to share, but I can’t just yet.. but the time will come.

Thanks for reading, thanks for the support, comment your links and ill support back!

How to Get More Likes/Followers on Facebook | DO NOT BUY SOCIAL FOLLOWERS

Fb-World-Banner

Buying A Social Following Can Hurt You!

Someone recently asked me online how they could get more Likes or Followers on their FB Page. Before I could answer someone else jumped in the thread and told this person to BUY likes and followers.

SMH, This is a bad idea.

Now I know it can be discouraging. You take all this time to create a nice FB page or even a website, and you start putting out content regularly, you try to build up your brand but not getting the traffic you expected. Weeks, maybe months have passed and you only have a few scattered likes and followers. You type into google how to get more followers and all these services pop up saying you can pay “200” dollars for “10,000” followers! That looks pretty nice to you right about now.

Please, don’t do this, it will hurt you in the long run.

For 99.99% of these services, the accounts are either; bots or ghost followers. Your not getting a real, engaging audience, your just getting a bigger number under your followers, a number that will hurt you. Some may not care and want to add bots or ghost followers just to appear to others that they have a following, although this may sound nice, again, this will hurt you.

You see when you add a bunch of ghost followers or bots, that’s a huge percentage of your audience that is not engaging with your content, thus bringing down your engagement rate down dramatically. Facebook and Instagram will see this and think that no one finds your content interesting because out of the 10,000 people that follow you only 10 people engaged with the content. This will lower your ranking and position in search results.

So all in all, buying Followers is definitely not a good idea, the only way I would endorse the idea is if a new company(all the ones right now are not legit, unless you know of one, let me know in the comments) got a bunch of social users to sign up with them, categorize those social users by interests and hobbies and then those users got paid for engaging/following with the companies clients that they we’re actually interested in. That would be the basic model needed for me to get behind it, because as of right now, most if not all services only offer bots or ghost followers, which are not doing you any good.

What about Likes?

Now, buying Likes, in my opinion, can’t hurt anything other than your wallet. If there are any negatives that I am missing please feel free to comment below. Buying likes can get you some decent traffic and exposure. If you have a particular hashtag on one of your posts and you go to that hashtags feed and see the top posts have around 5000 likes, so you buy 6000 likes for that post, now you are being displayed in the “Top Posts” Section, which offers a lot of visibility.

How to Grow Your Facebook Following, The Right Way

There’s no way to hack your way to the top, if there was than everybody would be up here. Instead of wasting money buying bots and ghost followers, why not do it the right way and spend that money on Ad Campaigns that will result in your brand growing a truly unique, engaged, and loyal audience.

You do not need to spend a million dollars on advertising, you can do as little as $5 a day and see results, but the more money you put in the more results you will see and the faster they will come.

If you need help on a FB Ad strategy check out my “3 Steps to FB Advertising on a Budget”.

You also do not need to spend any money if you don’t want to, you can go completely organic and engage with social users, join groups, and place free ads where they are allowed, its all in how you go about it, I have ran some really successful campaigns that were 100% organic, so I know anyone can pull it off.

The bottom line is, you can not hack your way to the top buying followers. You need to put in the work like the rest of us. Engage with your audience, Post interesting content on a regular basis, always look for creative ways to grow.

Remember what I always say: Creativity is King!

Good Luck

Channeling My Inner Gary Vee | Everyday I’m Hustlin’

What is up?! It has been a while since I’ve posted here, I have been so busy this past week. I have been coding a website for the past 3 days straight with only 2 hours of sleep every night. And if your a coder you may know this, the more tired you get the harder it is lol (I Guess that’s with anything).

Hence the title of this article, “Channeling my inner Gary Vee”, my digital mentor always preaches on executing and how he only sleeps about 4 hours a night. When I first started watching him I thought that was crazy, how could someone like him work so hard and still only get 4 hours of sleep.

Well, I figured it out, once I really started hustling, ITS PASSION. I have such a passion to build my company that I have literally been able to operate on very little sleep, yet back in the old days when I would have to wake up early to go work for someone else at a job I wasn’t passionate about, I was always tired, I would come home from those jobs and crash right away!

Now I never want to sleep or do anything if it conflicts with building my dream. All those things that Gary Vee was saying when I first started watching him make even more sense now!

Anyway, thought it would be a good idea to post a little update about what I’ve been doing, the website I’m working on will be finished tonight so I will be able to continue on with the ebooks/resources I’ve been promising on here for awhile. No worries! Everything is coming and it will be amazing!

Introductions / Honest Marketing @ Digital Clinic

Here is a little introduction, I stepped in front of the camera this time so you could put a face to the voice. I tell you why I started making videos, and give you a little insight on all the marketers ads you’ve been seeing.

Now of course what I say in the video is not a blanket statment, if you agree with me then your probably an honest marketer and have nothing to worry about. If you disagree with what I said you may just be who I am talking about.

I have no problem with webinars or courses, as long as they have value. I have a problem when someone that has no real professional experience as a marketer goes online and copy and pastes other peoples knowledge and pass it off as their own master plan that they sell for hundreds of dollars. Let me know your thoughts on the video!

Thanks,

How to Build a Sales Funnel using WordPress

In my last video about Alternative to Clickfunnels, I talked about how you could build a sales funnels using WordPress. In this video I go more into depth, showing you exactly how to set up a sales funnel landing page within your very own WordPress site.

As I have made clear, clickfunnels is cool, but to me it makes no sense to pay for a third party page builder when your already paying for WordPress. Especially when that page builder is $97 a month.

Watch the video below:

If you don’t want to do it this way, look into Elementor or other page builder plug-ins for WordPress, its nice to keep everything in house and get a nice SEO boost.

It really isn’t hard to make something like this, and it will save you a bunch of money instead of wasting it on an overpriced service.

Clickfunnels Landing Page
Screenshot of Clickfunnels.com

Dissecting this Screenshot:

1. You barely need to code or know how to design to make what I just showed you, or their are free/cheaper options.

2. In the paragraph where he talks about, “being held hostage by the tech nerds you used to tease in high school” – now we all know Russell Wrestled in school, so there might actually be some truth here, I’m beginning to think Russell had a bad encounter with a Developer/Coder he use to tease, and he co-founded clickfunnels solely to cut out “the nerd” lol, either way at the end of the paragraph he says “Pay too much money for something you don’t even know will work” – in all fairness, his service (a page builder) is $97 a month and every time you make a clickfunnel you don’t know if it will work or not, it ultimately comes down to the product and how well you run your ads not your actual funnel. You could have an awesome looking funnel but a crappy product, guess what, it’s not gonna sell.

3. He then talks about how something so simple that should only take minutes somehow becomes hours then days then weeks. – As you can see in my video, it does only take a few minutes, and you can do it yourself, you don’t need to hire some expensive coder.

I am no way attempting to put Russel on blast or anything, hes an awesome entrepreneur and has written some awesome books, the guy has a ton of value he can offer you and clickfunnels has value, but not worth $97 a month when there are just as good, free or cheaper options.

Here is the code I used for my Opt-in Box:
