How to use Influencers to Scale your Social Media without Spending Any Money

Marketing can be a never ending black hole. With so many different places to advertise, all the fees it takes to stay into business, web hosting, services, and all the other marketing expenses can get overwhelming, your paying for ads on FB, IG, Twitter, Youtube, Google, your paying $300 a year on web hosting, $500 a month on SEO Services, and countless other things, then you hear about influencer marketing and think it could grow your business, but you don’t want to fork over any more money for marketing expenses. Well, I show you some ways that you can snag some effective influencers without paying them money.

We all know influencer marketing is huge, and for good reason. Influencer Marketing can bring tremendous value to your social status. Right away it adds social proof to your brand, it shows that you have partnerships and that someone other than yourself endorses your brand, someone that people look to. This drives a ton of new traffic to your page and products.

The thing is though, is that Influencers can be pricey, especially if your looking for someone with 2 million followers. So I wanted to share the strategies that I use to scale my social media accounts with influencers without paying them.

First of all, you need to realize some one does not need 2 million followers to be an influencer, that for sure makes them a more effective influencer, but even someone with just one follower has the potential of influencing that one person.

Reaching out to multiple Influencers that want 500 dollars for a post can bury you in fees very quickly. I would recommend a few things if you want to start using influencers to grow your brand.

For me to lay this out, lets say your a soccer page on Instagram with 5k followers. Here’s what I would do if I wanted to start using Influencers without any money to do so.

Now first, you need to stop thinking only about how an influencer can help you, and you need to start thinking how you can help each other, this is especially important when your not paying them, if your paying them, you tell them what you want and they do it, but if you not paying them you need to provide them with enough perceived value that their willing to help you out.

The way I do this is mostly with; Shoutouts, Features, or Joint Giveaways.

So for this method I tend to look for people in my niche that have less followers than my page but still a decent amount, they usually are always willing to help out a bigger page in hopes of sharing their audience, the same reason your looking for an influencer.

I will also look for people with the same amount of followers as me, and I will usually reach out to people with double the amount of followers I have, but in my experience if you reach out to people with more than double the amount of your followers, they see that as them having all the power and that your really desperate for an influencer so they will ask for money, but it doesn’t hurt to ask! I have formed partnerships with influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers for free on a page with only 10k followers, its all how you structure and word your proposal.

And when I say look for influencers, all you have to do is simply search hashtags that are related to your niche and start reaching out to those people.

So once I find a list of influencers I want to reach out to, I start thinking of ways that could benefit us both, as I said before, I usually use shoutouts, features, or joint giveaways and the influencers are usually all for it and super excited. Let me explain each method for those who may not understand fully.

1. Shoutouts:

jakob-owens-518866-unsplash

I will email the influencer something like “Hello, We noticed your page and love your content, when reviewing your page we see many opportunities for the both of us to grow. We would Love to do a shoutout for shoutout if you are willing to partner up for some great marketing with High ROI and no cost!”

Then I would precede to work out the details on the actual post. (Image, Caption, Time, etc.)

2. Features:

jakob-owens-564871-unsplash

Features are like shoutouts, but in my experience make for better content, which means better engagement, which means, well you get the picture. Features would be, me looking for awesome soccer players with the right amount of followers as described above, I would message them saying “Hello, We love your content, We’re a soccer page that shares only the best content in this niche and we would love to feature some of your content with a shoutout to you of course, let us know what you think or if you have any other ides on ways that we can help each other grow” now if your sticking to people with less or around the same amount of followers as you have, this message should be enough for them to get on board.

Then you just use a repost app and repost their content to your page, or you download their content off of their page and you change it up a bit to make original content and then you post it.

Now this is good for both of you, it gives you content that you didn’t have to create yourself (curated content), and it gives them one more place to share their content giving them more reach and more traffic which means more sales, but you probably figured that out. This method is different from a shoutout because Im not requiring them to give me a shoutout, what I do is I take their content and change it a little bit or edit their videos to make new original content, you don’t have to do this, but it makes for better content and every-time I do this, those people will either repost it cuz they think its awesome that they got shared or they will give you a shoutout anyway on their wall or stories telling people to go check out their feature, people love being featured, Ive only ever had one person say no to me being featured. Being featured makes people feel important, loved, it gives them social proof, its just beneficial to both parties all the way around.

3. Joint-Giveaways:

Now giveaways are a great way to increase your audience. If you don’t do giveaways I would highly recommend figuring a way out to do them, they are extremely beneficial. Now if your doing giveaways why not reach more people for free.

So here’s what I would do, lets say we’re going to give away a soccer ball. I would find an influencer and Direct Message them something like “Hey we love your page, we are thinking about doing a free giveaway, we were looking to partner with someone for this particular giveaway, we would cover the cost of the product, We think our audience would love you and vice-versa, we are very interested in hearing your thoughts, let us know!”

Then you would work out the details which would be, you guys post the same image, and the caption would discuss the giveaway and the way to enter the give away is to like the post, follow both accounts, and comment “I WANT IT” or whatever you want them to comment. This is driving both audiences to the other ones page and requiring them to follow to enter, increasing both pages follower count, the like and comment are giving you more engagement which makes Instagram’s algorithm favor your post, which leads to more traffic, which leads to more, well again you get the idea.

And there you have it, those are some methods that I am using to reach out and make deals with influencers that help scale my brands, and as you get bigger so do your free influencers.

One thing I can not stress enough, is the power of the DM. Do not be afraid to reach out, even if you think the person will say no or not even reply, who gives a shit, just keep moving on to the next one until you land one.

Marketing is all about being creative, one part of being creative is realizing that money is not the only thing that holds value in this digital age.

Channeling My Inner Gary Vee | Everyday I’m Hustlin’

What is up?! It has been a while since I’ve posted here, I have been so busy this past week. I have been coding a website for the past 3 days straight with only 2 hours of sleep every night. And if your a coder you may know this, the more tired you get the harder it is lol (I Guess that’s with anything).

Hence the title of this article, “Channeling my inner Gary Vee”, my digital mentor always preaches on executing and how he only sleeps about 4 hours a night. When I first started watching him I thought that was crazy, how could someone like him work so hard and still only get 4 hours of sleep.

Well, I figured it out, once I really started hustling, ITS PASSION. I have such a passion to build my company that I have literally been able to operate on very little sleep, yet back in the old days when I would have to wake up early to go work for someone else at a job I wasn’t passionate about, I was always tired, I would come home from those jobs and crash right away!

Now I never want to sleep or do anything if it conflicts with building my dream. All those things that Gary Vee was saying when I first started watching him make even more sense now!

Anyway, thought it would be a good idea to post a little update about what I’ve been doing, the website I’m working on will be finished tonight so I will be able to continue on with the ebooks/resources I’ve been promising on here for awhile. No worries! Everything is coming and it will be amazing!

Sincerity is Key to Building Real Relationships | Organic Growth on Social Media in 2018

Sincerity is key! You have to give a fu*k about what you are doing, but not only that, you need to give a fu*k about other people and what those other people are doing. Don’t just pump out your content asking for people to do something, or buy something from you without actually giving a fu*k about them. People pick up on that shit.

Something I always preach is value. If your reaching out to people, asking them to do something, or if your looking to partner on something, you need to be bringing value every time. A key here is finding out what they will perceive, as having the most value. That’s whats nice “perceived value”, something super valuable to them may not be that big of a deal to you, like a feature or shout out or some money what ever it may be, you now seem to be giving them more value than your receiving, and that’s the key. You just need to figure out what will benefit them the most?

Another part of this is, don’t even worry about how they can help you, don’t even ask! Just focus on delivering value to that said person or brand, and after you help them they will help you without you asking, in my experience this is a major key component to building amazing relationships that last.

Don’t do something for the reward, do it for the journey.

Remember everyone you encounter on the web is just like you, their putting content out their sharing something their passionate about with the world, don’t hate on anything, spread the love, engage, follow, share, like, and I promise you, you will actually start to connect with people. Sincerity is key!

This is just some advice, I see so many people trying to take shortcuts, and wondering why there not getting anywhere, this kind of shit takes time. Put in the work.

Introductions / Honest Marketing @ Digital Clinic

Here is a little introduction, I stepped in front of the camera this time so you could put a face to the voice. I tell you why I started making videos, and give you a little insight on all the marketers ads you’ve been seeing.

Now of course what I say in the video is not a blanket statment, if you agree with me then your probably an honest marketer and have nothing to worry about. If you disagree with what I said you may just be who I am talking about.

I have no problem with webinars or courses, as long as they have value. I have a problem when someone that has no real professional experience as a marketer goes online and copy and pastes other peoples knowledge and pass it off as their own master plan that they sell for hundreds of dollars. Let me know your thoughts on the video!

Thanks,

Day-2-Day 5-Step Guide to Organic Growth on Instagram

.       Instagram is by far the easiest platform to get organic growth, and organic growth is almost more important than paid growth because organic growth is where you’re going to get your real loyal customers from.

.        The simple answer to the question of organic growth on Instagram is simple, its engagement. To get organic growth, a.k.a. non-paid engagement, on your Instagram you must engage with people and post engaging content.

.        This is a lot of hard work and takes a lot of time, and a lot of people don’t want to take the time to do it so they rely heavily on paid reach and Engagement. Although paid reach is amazing, you want to get some organic reach before you start running ads, it will help with social proof once that paid reach gets to your page.

.        So below I will outline the step-by-step guide to what you should be doing when you’re on Instagram to gain organic reach.

1. Post – Your going to want to post at least once a day, for certain profiles that I manage I post three times a day. Your going to need to make sure that the content you’re posting is visually interesting, mentally interesting, and everything overall interesting, nobody’s going to engage with something that isn’t cool looking or is a boring subject. Next you’re going to want to use hashtags that directly relate to the subject matter in your post, you can only use 30 so choose wisely. Another popular way to get people to engage with your post is to ask them a question in the caption of your photo. After you have been posting for a few weeks make sure you check your analytics and see when the best time to post is on each day.

2. Wine and Dine the Top Nine – next you’re going to search all the hashtags that you have been using in your recent posts and select the top nine photos for each hashtag, go into each profile, like multiple pictures of theirs, leave them comments on how much you like their wall, then follow them, then direct message them with either a deal or brief introduction.

3. All the Rest – Your going to do what you did in step 2, but with all the rest of the photos for the tags you have been using, so first do the top 9, then move on to the rest.

4. The Power of the DM – The power of the DM on Instagram is ridiculous, don’t be afraid to use it, whether is just a brief hello and introduction or offering a deal or what ever it may be, a good rule to stick by is that you need to be offering them more value than what your getting in return, otherwise people won’t take the time to do what you want them to do.

5. Feed the Likes – After you start to get followers on Instagram make sure you keep those followers, every time see a photo pop up on your feed make sure you like it or leave a comment, not only does that keep your brand fresh in your followers minds, it also makes sure that they don’t delete you for being a ghost follower.

Cheaper Alternatives to Clickfunnels

Clickfunnels is great, luckily aside from being a Digital Marketer, I’m a graphic/web designer and do not need the service…

But honestly I don’t think anyone does for $97 a month, you can achieve the same thing with Canvas…

Again clickfunnels is a great service and if you like it I am happy for you but I don’t think people desperately need it at that price, the only reason I point this out is because lately I see a lot of fellow marketers pushing clickfunnels, but not mentioning 1, that they’re getting $37 dollar for every referral, and 2, you can achieve the same effect with FB Canvas and WordPress.

I’m fine with making money through referral programs but I’m gonna be upfront about it and will tell you if there’s a free product that can produce the same results.

I really didn’t want to start making videos because I didn’t want to be one of those “Gurus” or “Mentors” so I probably won’t post to many videos, But I will post videos covering things that I feel not enough people are talking about or need to know. My goal is simple, make money online, with honest marketing.

But again, clickfunnels is great, russell brunson is a very smart guy, and this program could be very useful to certain individuals, especially if your managing multiple businesses ad campaigns.

But if you don’t have the 97 bucks a month to fork over I highly reccomend the alternative options I cover in the video, I may make more videos going more into depth about creating those types of pages in WordPress and Canvas.

What do you think of the video?
