I broke my foot right before I was going to start exercising, dang it.

It is no secret, that I added more than a few pounds to the old whiskey gut over the winter. Now that it has been getting nicer out, I was going to make it a point to get back into skateboarding, maybe start exercising and working out. I’ve been putting the ladder off for some time now. I am not sure if that was on purpose or not, perhaps I let the whole whiskey gut joke go on too long? These are the questions I am now left with.

Anyhow, the day before I was going to start I had an unfortunate accident. The day before, my sober ass mind you, not drunk, completely sober, falls down the stairs and breaks my toes. Fucked them up real good. So was it a sign that I should maybe just keep on keeping on the way I have been? These are the questions I am now left with.

I decided to use this time as a sort of cheat period before I had even gotten started. Now I have an excuse to sit around and be lazy, stuff my face, drink some whiskey, and play video games. So no doubt, no matter how long this last, I’m sure to increase the whiskey gut a few inches out.

This downtime has given me some time to re-focus on some things around here, changes coming, new things coming, you know all that jazz.

Stay safe in this scary time, and don’t run down the stairs otherwise you’ll be fat like me. Thats the real lesson here.
